Manitowoc Foodservice Ovens and Advanced Cooking broke ground on its new 30,000 square foot Ovens expansion project in Cleveland, Ohio – marking the official start of its plans to become the leading commercial ovens manufacturer in the world. When Manitowoc Foodservice announced the expansion of its Cleveland, OH, location, there were some raised eyebrows. After all, isn't it common wisdom that manufacturing in the U.S. - much less in the "Rust Belt" - is an outdated practice that can't result in world-class capabilities or competitiveness? Well, the real answer is, "it depends." What Manitowoc Foodservice learned from deep understanding of its customers, close alliance with its suppliers and partnership with stakeholders is the company will gain world-class manufacturing status through new investment in its existing Ohio people, community and infrastructure.

Manitowoc Foodservice announces operation green in preparation for Earth Day 2013. To kick off the seven days leading up to Earth Day on April 22, 2013, Manitowoc Foodservice made key areas of the websites green through Earth Day. The green websites indicate our commitment to being sustainable and green, not just on Earth Day but everyday.

The Manitowoc Company, Inc. (NYSE: MTW) today announced that Michael Kachmer has resigned as president of the Company's Foodservice segment and as senior vice president of the Company to pursue a chief executive officer role. Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Glen Tellock will lead the Foodservice segment on an interim basis while the Company searches for Mr. Kachmer's successor. Several strong internal candidates are being considered to serve as president of Foodservice on a permanent basis.
