New Port Richey, Fla. – This Spring, Johnson & Wales University opened its new 82,000 square foot center for Culinary Excellence on its Providence, Rhode Island campus.  The new facility supports Johnson & Wales with world-class, industry relevant curriculum, and features cutting edge equipment in a diverse array of production environments. The culinary center houses 30 state of the art labs, 75 faculty members and almost 2,600 students.

Hands-on equipment experience is a critical part of the curriculum.  As the students hone their culinary skills in their new surroundings they will be working on best in class equipment supplied by Manitowoc Foodservice. Teaching labs and hot kitchens feature brands by Varimixer prepping and mixing equipment, Garland and US Range ovens, Cleveland steamers, Convotherm combis, Delfield refrigeration, and Manitowoc ice machines.
