Manitowoc adds to ENERGY STAR line up
These days, most restaurateurs will tell you that when looking for an ice machine, high performance and energy efficiency are “must-have” features. Manitowoc offers two undercounter ice machines that not only have Manitowoc’s reputation for dependability but also meet stringent ENERGY STAR® guidelines for efficient energy and water consumption.

As part of our “green” initiatives, Manitowoc has redesigned the Q-Series 210 and 270 undercounter ice machines; making them even more efficient. The energy and water savings potential achieved on ENERGY STAR ice machines is substantial; on average 15% more energy efficient and 10% more water efficient than standard models.

Long before energy consumption and conservation of the environment became “hot topics”, Manitowoc Ice was quietly providing energy efficient and environmentally friendly foodservice equipment solutions; not because it was mandated, but because it represented sound business practices – for us, as well as for our customers.

Manitowoc’s ENERGY STAR® qualified ice machines utilize a variety of materials and technologies that improve their overall efficiency. Patented air-assist technology speeds the harvesting of ice from the evaporator; reducing energy consumption, and nickel-plated, solid copper evaporators remove heat from the water resulting in faster cycle times. Because of these and other innovations Manitowoc ice machines are able to achieve the highest levels of energy and water conservation. On average, commercial ice machines that have earned the ENERGY STAR are 15% more energy efficient and 10% more water efficient than standard models.
