
Looking to improve speed of service, a leading QSR sought help from Delfield to consolidate pasta preparation and storage.
Delfield sent a team to work in various stores, collaborating with the chain's operations personnel and store employees. After experiencing the food preparation process, Delfield suggested ideas that led to development of an integrated prep, cooking and finishing station. Delfield custom-fabricated an ergonomic refrigerated prep station that saved steps and time while providing additional refrigerated storage. A reinforced fabricated shelf was added above the prep area, putting rethermalization ovens within fast and easy reach of workers.
In addition to accelerating service, the Delfield solution allowed the QSR to eliminate a rethermalization water bath and microwave from its kitchen, reducing investment for future store openings.
